Paul Chandler Jazz Ensemble

Born and raised in the Skagit Valley, Paul Chandler has traveled the world sharing his talent and joy of music. Tonight’s performance features Paul playing trumpet and flugelhorn in a stellar quartet of Northwest musicians. Expect to be enchanted with the rich, full sound of his trumpet, and entertained with unique arrangements of jazz standards as well as his own original compositions.

Russian Virtuoso Pianist

Alexander Ardakov returns to the Northwest to present a classical evening including Schumann, Chopin and more. Since 1991, Alexander Ardakov has been living in England where in addition to appearing as a recitalist throughout the world he is Professor of Piano at Trinity College of Music in London. He has performed for BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM and has made several CD recordings .

Holly Graham Musical Entertainer

Holly returns to La Conner with an entertaining, joyful, original collection of songs and stories about life, including the lighter side of recovery as composed for her newest play, “Femur, the Musical”, along with reflections on love, work, and the healing powers of community. Accompanying Holly in happy collaboration are two talented Olympia musicians, Barbara Collins on violin and mandolin, and Lorree Gardener on bass. Bring your sense of humor, and come prepared to sing!

Drew PiersonCantabile Concert

Cantabiles concert is inspired by Christina Rossetti’s poem In The Bleak Mid-Winter. We have taken each verse and selected a set of songs that reflect the text of the verse. Musical selections reflect Cantabiles desire to present a wide variety of musical styles. Songs range from Alleluia to Zuia Ninge and from Bach to living composers.

The Onyx Chamber Players

The Onyx Chamber Players join us this season to perform the piano quartet of Johannes Brahms with violist Mel Butler joining Cecilia Archuleta (violin), Page Smith (cello), and David White (piano). Known for rhythmic complexity, long and gorgeous melodies, and intense emotion, Braham’s chamber works are all considered masterpieces.

Cohan-Shangrow Duo

Virtuoso Baroque features the extravagant ornamentation of the Cohan- Shangrow Duo, with flutist Jeffrey Cohan and harpsichordist George Shangrow, who have performed baroque and contemporary Northwest works in England, France, Holland, Switzerland, Germany, Canada and throughout the United States and Hawaii. Hear virtuoso duos by Johann Sebastian Bach, his son Carl Philipp Emanuel, Handel and Vivaldi among others.“Unusually dynamic, refreshing and thrilling ... a great and lasting experience for all present.”
